Who, What, Wear
While lunching in Georgetown at my fave new spot, Kafe Leopold, I found a fashionista I swore I conjured from my imagination. Let me start by saying the food is excellent, the space Euro cool and the location enchanted. It was tucked away in a cobblestone alley by the canal and bustling with eager diners. I devoured a perfectly roasted chicken with fennel and dates and sipped the most innovative fresh squeezed lemonade with mint that would actually make a mighty fine cocktail. She was at the table beside me. Of course she was as German as the German-Austrian restaurant, with blunt cut bangs, a sleek black dress adorned with a chunky black statement necklace and tons of cool wrap bracelets. Just who I would have blogged about for a Who, What Wear entry for a “Day in DC” and so…I did!
